So Don and I did the most daring thing yesterday:
We took ALL 3 boys to see Monsters vs Aliens in 3D.

Call me crazy. It's the truth (me being crazy). It all started when Brennan wanted to go to the movies and then saw a preview for Monsters. He then asked me if DAD could take him. No "Mom, can you take me?"~ Just "Can me and dad go to the movies?" I said that was fine, but I really wanted to see it too. So Don said that we should all go.
Don and Brennan went early to get tickets while I got the babies dressed. We got to the theater early so we went to Marble Slab for some yummy ice cream, where both boys downed their treat. The reason I tell you about the ice cream is that it is the beginning of the sugar overload. We then went to the theater to get good seats. We managed to snag seats on the front row of the second section ~ easy access in and out of the theater. While the boys settled in, I retrieved Coke and Skittles (to be used later to bribe Nolan to sit down). I was a little apprehensive about Nolan actually sitting the entire time, but the first half of the movie went really well. Nolan only tried to get up a couple of times, but when he was told no, he sat back down. After the second attempt to escape, I decided that it was time to break out the skittles. The skittles, along with the Coke, bought us another 1/4 of the movie. It was at that point that the sugar overload became too much and Nolan threw up. I was quick enough to catch most of it in my hand (Side note: as I'm typing this, just the thought of touching puke is making me queasy). After he's done with the puking, I take him and my handful of throw-up into the women's bathroom.
I really hate the fact that everywhere is going Eco-friendly! When we got to the bathroom, the stupid sensors on the sinks didn't want to turn on and when I finally got the water going, there were no paper towels in the entire place!!! So, I stripped Nolan down to his onesie, and soaked his shirt to try to get the puke off. It didn't work. Suffice to say: It was a mess! After I did the best I could, I flagged down a theater worker and let her know that he threw up in the movie. She produced some towels and a bag for Nolan's clothes. Thank heaven for small miracles! After cleaning up the puke, we were able to finish out the movie in ease.
The funny part of this is that when we got up to leave, Brennan looked at Nolan and asked where his shirt was. I said that since he threw up on it, I took it off. Brennan then asked "When did Nolan throw up? I didn't see him throw up. I didn't see you leave." Brennan was totally oblivious to the fact that we walked right in front of him to get out and to sit back down, and he even missed the worker cleaning up right next to him!
This outing was full of adventure and edge of your seat excitement, just like the movie. Oh, and if you've never seen a movie in 3D, you should. Though I don't suggest wearing the 3D glasses over your regular glasses... put in your contacts instead!

So did you like the part of the movie you actually saw? Jake and I were thinking about going to see that too!
