Blue and Gold Banquet

Brennan is officially a Tiger Cub!

He received his award at the Blue and Gold Banquet Feb. 28th. In the days leading up to the banquet, I realized what mothers really do for their kids. Thursday night we spent the night constructing the cutest Tiki Tiger Scouts (see picture). It was a lot of work! Those silly things didn't want to glue together very well and the markers kept drying up... oh well, they turned out super cute! Friday night was a baking frenzy at our house. We had to make a cake to be auctioned off and make a shrimp salad to feed 150 people. Little did I realize what exactly that entailed. 6 hours later, I had a new respect for mothers.

Brennan and Mom~ the little stink stuck out his tongue!

Saturday was a lot of fun! The banquet started off with a slide show of all of the activities of the pack, many of which Brennan was in. Dinner was great~ I got a lot of compliments on my salad (thank you Elaine for the recipe). After some recognition's, it was finally time to present the scouts with their advancements. Brennan was very proud of his accomplishment of earning his Tiger Cub Badge along with his Tiger Cub Beads. Don had the joy of presenting him with his badge~ what a great father-son moment.

Although it was a lot of work prepping for the party (and I wasn't even in charge of much), it was an evening well spent with friends and family!
