- The name is Janice. My loveys call me Jan-Michael, Pookie, or Jan-nie. Those loveys consist of my wonderful husband Don, my four crazy boys Bubba (9), Big D (7), N-dog (4), Mr. E (2), and such a large extended family that it would take me an extremely long paragraph and at least a month to come up with cleaver nicknames for them all. In the BC (before children), I was a mad-scientist, a.k.a. middle school science teacher, but left the wonderful world of teaching to stay at home. And where is home you may ask? I'll be blogging from the hills of Tennessee. Now you may be wondering why I started this little blog... it's really a long, drawn out story, but I'll give you the sweetened, condensed version: I love to make things. Lots of things. Crazy things. It's gotten to the point that my friends and family have told me that I need to start a blog to teach them how to do what I'm doing. So even if no one other than my family and friends check out this little blog, I'll still feel success at being able to teach something to someone.

Alright - I remember when you, Rustin, Jake & I would play settlers together and things would get so heated that certain spouses wouldn't talk to each other for days. I also remember how you and I would go to funerals and you would straighten all the men's ties and make them feel so immportant. I also remember having to keep my mouth shut when Mom wanted to know what you were up to. Oh yeah, and my favorite memory of us is when we played the duet in "Peanut Vendor" with the band dancing around us! We had some pretty crazy times together. Last night Heidi and I were talking about how great it was to be able to have each other growing up. I wish that you had moved a little closer west instead of further east!
Memories of janice my favorite is probably my 21st birthday to wendover with my boss. We are there like five minutes and i am trying to explain slot machines to you and you put in 50 cents and will 1,000 dollars! wow I still think your mom was so perterbed with me but... you really needed the money right then, so i told her it was a blessing!! lol crazy thimes
I remember how you and I became friends in Geology and Elementary Math at good old UVSC and you were such a good student and inspired me to be better too, and you were pregnant and had Brennan right after finals and I got to come see you in the hospital. Then we got into the program together and in the same cohort and you were my study buddy and you always got better grades than me! You helped me make it through school all the way to graduation and you were always such a dear friend to me. I miss you girly! Congrats on Baby #3! Wow! And Chad and I thank you for introducing us to Settlers too!
My favorite memory of you has to be when we both worked at Wingers in Spanish Fork and on Tuesday nights after we got off we would drive all the way up to the Denny's in Provo and sit and eat and talk and drink hot cocoa with scoops of ice cream in it. Those were some of the best times! Everytime I go to Denny's or have cocoa with ice cream I think of you! Remember when we thought it would be fun to try to tie our hair up in those rags to make curls and we stayed up all night at Megan's (it's spelled wrong I know but I could never get it right!) house and then how terrible it looked in the morning! Oh boy! Fun, fun times!
