Nesting = Decorating

I'm totally in the nesting phase right now~ I want the house to be perfect when Ian arrives, not to mention when all of my family comes. The only issue with that is that I have ZERO energy to do anything. I'll look at the Kitchen and get this intense desire to clean it~ and I mean really clean it: sweep, mop, shine the appliances, not just load the dish washer. I'll gather up the cleaning stuff (meaning bending over to retrieve it from under the sink) and by the time I've done that, I feel as though I need to take a nap! Yucky!

Anyway, even feeling this way, I've have this extremely intense need (call it like a craving for Coke) to redo the guest bedroom. The room was so boring... I've had the bedspread since I was in college (more than 5 years ago) and room was so basic! Just a bed, dresser, and TV. Nothing on the walls, nothing to want to make anyone come and visit me... very, very sad. That being said, since I've been so tired, I've been watching a lot of HGTV and TLC. Not a good thing to do when you're trying to save money. Oh, well. I was inspired by this room on Designed to Sell. Very Paris, with it's black, white, red and tan. So I redecorated it (and I got most of the items on sale!)

Here is the before:

Gotta love the plaid and yucky brown curtains (which were fine until my taste changed)

And Here is the After:
You can't see the dresser very well, but I put a really cute lamp and a night tray to decorate it.
Maybe now I can interest you to come visit me!

WOW! It looks amazing! I can't believe you had the energy to do all of that and you're about to pop. I can't even find the energy now to do that to my room and I have NO excuse! I'm quite impressed!
